  INFORMATION - PROTECTION - PROFIT
The CT²C Continuous Thermocouple is a slender (.120 inch, 3.0 mm dia.) heat-seeking thermocouple. It's physically tough, chemically resistant InconelTM sheath makes CT²C the best choice for hazardous environments from –40°F (-40°C) up to 1500°F (816°C).

CT2C

Like all Continuous Thermocouples, CT²C is a self-generating, self-restoring, intrinsically safe thermocouple that is compatible with many standard thermocouple instruments. CT²C can measure the maximum temperature existing anywhere along its entire length, then track the increase, even if the location of the “hot spot” changes.

Since the first Continuous Thermocouple was developed and patented by Xco International in 1983, CT²C has found acceptance around the world as a temperature monitoring and protection device for refractory lined process vessels and a variety of other applications.

  CT²C is:
STABLE: Virtually false-alarm proof
SLIM: .120 inch (3.0mm) OD
SELF-GENERATING: Requires no external power
ACTIVE: Provides real-time temperature information, early warning, pre-alarms, rate of rise
COMPATIBLE WITH MANY STANDARD INSTRUMENTS: K-type millivolt signal
SELF-RESTORING: Returns to normal after temperature excursions
NORMAL OPERATING RANGE: 95°C (203°F) to 810°C (1490°F)
SURVIVAL RANGE: -40°C (-40°F) to 899°C (1650°F)
UNAFFECTED BY COLD WEATHER: No alarm point change
MAXIMUM CONTINUOUS LENGTH: 140 feet (43 meters)
A SIMPLE APPARATUS: For use in hazardous areas
FLEXIBILITY: Reasonable
